Dimension Models in Segmentation

Just a quick video to show you a cool feature, between the flow visualization and building segments. So we’ve created a flow visualization here, and I want you to especially notice that I have set repeats to off. And so, you know, it’s not really showing when people, for example, reload the home page. Now you can change that if you want by going up in here to the edit. And you could include repeat instances. We’re going to leave it off for now I’m hit cancel. And then of course, if we want to know more about the people who come in and go to the homepage and then go to the women’s page, we can hover over this right click and create a segment for this path. Of course we can do that for any of these paths.

This will bring up the segment builder and load that path into here. So you can see that you know it’s gone coming in on a page, namely the home page, and then going to the women’s page. And notice that it is honoring that setting of non-repeating instance. So also notice that this dimension model is selectable right over here in this cog. So you can choose this model can choose a non-repeating instance. This is what we have. The default is repeating. And you can choose instance or of course none non-repeating instance which is what we’re using right now. And so when you do that you can save that they cancel because I already saved this once and I have it over here. And now you can add that segment to your panel to a different table. So I have a free form table down here with pages in it. So I can grab this segment and just apply it to this table. I’ll drag it right over here and filter the pages by that flow. So now I can see for people who came in to the home page and then to the women’s page, what were the subsequent pages that they went to? in their journey here. So you can see that, you know, of course, the home page in the women’s page. But what were the other ones that they also went to after that? So anyway, just kind of a cool little feature there when you are building segments off of a flow.
