Using Microsoft Dynamics with AEM Forms using-microsoft-dynamics-with-aem-forms

AEM Forms Data Integration allows you to configure and connect to disparate data sources. The following are supported out-of-the-box. However, with little customization, you can integrate other data sources as well.

Relational databases - MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, IBM DB2, and Oracle RDBMS

  1. AEM user profile
  2. RESTful web services
  3. SOAP-based web services
  4. OData services

This video walks through a workflow showing how AEM Forms can work with Microsoft Dynamics as a back-end data source to deliver interactive, personalized communications.

Transcript
AEM forms can create interactive statements and documents, responsive to any device or screen size. Personalized offers can be embedded in statements. Here, we see an offer for a home mortgage embedded in a customer credit card statement. After clicking on the offer, the customer can begin filling out a qualified questionnaire, using an adaptive form with AEM forms. With a few simple financial details entered, the adaptive form can combine user input data with logic from backend systems, to calculate the terms of the loan. The terms look good, so the customer clicks the link to apply for the mortgage loan. The customer is now directed to another adaptive form, created with AEM forms.
Fields are pre filled to streamline form filling. Segmenting the form into several panels, improves the user experience and allows users to save progress as they fill out their forms. Adaptive forms are designed to be responsive to any screen size, ensuring that even on mobile devices the form fields are easy to navigate. Forms can be designed from templates and updated with themes applied across collections, to ensure consistent customer experiences and expedited updates to form collections. With native integration to Adobe Sign, AEM Forms can add legally compliant electronic signatures, to enrollment workflows. There is no need for customers to download, print and mail applications, or for the organizations to manually process and re-key customer information. After the application is signed and submitted, AEM forms generates a legally binding PDF document of record for the customer and the organization. The data that was submitted to the organization, goes directly into Microsoft Dynamics. Here, in Microsoft Dynamics, we can see the information submitted on this form is present as a record. Clicking the lead opens the lead record in Microsoft Dynamics, where all of the information is available and sales teams can flag leads for further action and follow up.
Automated workflows can also be added with AEM forms, to ensure that leads submitted to Microsoft Dynamics are assigned to appropriate sales team members for action. Here, we see the application has been assigned, flagged as a priority and is now being opened for review and approval. Returning to Microsoft Dynamics we see that the lead’s status has now changed to approved. At the same time, approving the application triggers AEM forms to generate a personalized welcome kit for the customer and deliver it through email. The welcome kit document is adaptive to any browser or screen size. It incorporates creative content and branding and is in compliance with regulatory requirements. That’s a brief look at how the integration between AEM forms and Microsoft Dynamics, enables financial organizations to optimize acquisition on digital channels, reduce compliance burden and deliver interactive personalized communications.
NOTE
This feature is available only with AEM 6.3 FP1 and onwards. Be sure to install the AEM Forms add-on before setting up.
